The purpose of this position is to ensure the safe operation of a school bus and other vehicles and perform associated and operational duties in the safe transportation of students. The bus driver will be responsible for a variety of duties including, but not limited to, maintaining an established route and schedule, preforming pre-trip and post-trip inspections on a daily basis, fueling, cleaning and washing bus and reporting bus/servicing requirements.
- Valid Class 2 driver’s license
- Knowledge of the Splatsin Community is valued
- Proven safe driving practices
- First Aid Certification
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Criminal record check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- Satisfactory driver’s check
