The Tk’emlups Indian Band (TIB) is a fast growing vibrant organization committed to the development and progress of its Band Members and Community. As such, the TIB invites applications from qualified, highly motivated and dynamic individuals to fill the following position.
SUPERVISOR: DEPARTMENT MANAGER
POSITION TITLE: RECEPTION
TERMS: ON CALL
JOB REFERENCE#: 2011-019

This position is the first line of client contact and is responsible for responding to inquiries and operating the main switchboard for the TteS Organization in a timely manner.
The incumbent reports to the Department Manager and must work closely with all staff to ensure appropriate cohesiveness within the Department. Additionally, the On Call Receptionist position is client centered and is expected to operate with the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism. The position provides support to the entire Department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports and assists the entire Department by receiving calls, organizing and completing day-to-day receptionist duties to ensure quality client service.
- Receives and responds to personal counter and telephone inquiries.
- Routes calls, greets visitors, direct customers to appropriate offices.
- Provides information about the Department as requested.
- Maintains the answering machine, call Pilot, internet and phone system.
- Picks up mail daily, opens, sorts, and distributes and/or delivers mail, correspondence, faxes, messages as appropriate.
- Collecting and distributing parcels and/or courier.
- Completes Filing Clerk duties as required.
- Assists others with the phone system, voicemail and client I.D.
- Maintains confidentiality on all matters relating to the affairs of the TteS.
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the TteS policies, standards, and procedures.
- Other related duties as necessary.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Professional Certification, Education and Experience
One year clerical/administrative support experience, education and/or training or an equivalent combination. Experience and or training in keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheet, the Internet, databases and other standard computer applications.

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with ability to use tact and diplomacy.

HOURS OF WORK: Normal day shift – 7 hours per day. Non – normal shift may be required.
PAY GRADE: As per current salary grid.
