Car Wash Gas Attendant

SUPERVISOR: CAR WASH SUPERVISOR/ASSISTANT CAR WASH SUPERVISOR
POSITION TITLE: CAR WASH ATTENDANT (ON-CALL)

The purpose of this position is to complete customer service and the sale of merchandise and services related to the car wash to ensure the success of the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc, (TteS) Car Wash. The incumbent reports to the Car Wash Supervisor or Car Wash Assistant Supervisor and must work closely with all Car Wash team members to ensure appropriate cohesiveness within the Car Wash operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Completes customer service and responds to complaints and inquiries.
- Complete washing and cleaning vehicles.
- Participates in the daily cleaning and stocking of the car wash inventory.
- Performs sales transactions on a computerized till.
- Performs all shift paperwork in a neat and orderly, legible manner.
- Balance transactions and track shift count.
- Must be knowledgeable in car wash services to provide excellent customer service and to increase sales.
- Use materials such as water, cleaning agents, brushes, cloths, and hoses to perform duties.
- Complete general maintenance and repairs.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Shift Supervisor.
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the TteS policies, standards, and procedures.
- Maintains confidentiality on all matters relating to the affairs of the TteS.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Professional Certification, Education and Experience
Completion of Grade 12 and some previous work experience in a similar work environment or an equivalent combination of education and/or training.
Experience in retail operations is preferred.
Prefer a valid Basic Standard First Aid ticket.
Prefer a valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence.
Must possess WHIMIS Training / Certificate.
Prefer a Fire Safety and Extinguisher Training/Certificate.
Prefer WCB Work Safe Training.

HOURS OF WORK: Normal day shift – 7 hours per day. Non – normal shift may be required.
PAY GRADE: As per current salary grid.
